About the Artist

Jenny Cai (b.1999) is an artist specializing in landscape and figurative paintings. At 22, she moved to Florence, Italy to study art formally at the Florence Classical Art Academy. Under the guidance of Repin Academy of Art graduates Arseny Nefedov and Andrew Piankovski, she developed her approach to composition, form, and narrative painting.

Jenny is currently working full-time in her home studio in Florence. During the summer months, she travels around the world to paint en plein air, working directly from life. Drawing upon her training in the figurative realism tradition and study of 19th-century masters, Jenny's paintings capture the poetry in the world around her.
